DescriptionHeld near Yeomans' original Keyline Designed properties, where it all began... with Darren Doherty, the world's most respected Keyline educator. The Keyline System of farming is currently at the forefront of carbon farming techniques in the USA and beyond... In today's changing climate and landscape, we need effective solutions for land and water management. Solutions that benefit both the landholder and the environment, and result in both profit and improved soil fertility. Keyline concepts were conceived and founded in the Australian landscape to build soil, hold water and improve the fertility and durability of the land. Look after the land, and the land will look after you.
Keyline Farming:
As well as the nuts-and-bolts of Keyline Design, this course now features not one but TWO tours of Keyline Farms in the Sydney basin - namely Oaks Organics, a P.A.Yeomans designed property still operating using Keyline techniques, and also the Elizabeth Macathur Agricultural Institute, which features Keyline design and also uses a Yeomans Plow extensively in their current cropping system. Each Farm tour will feature Yeomans' plow demonstrations and a comprehensive walk-through explaining Keyline in context.
Read more about P.A.Yeoman's techniques in The Keyline Plan from the Soil and Health library. See also Aerial view of Yeomans' Keyline work at Kurmond. Who is this course for?
