Over this weekend you will learn how to apply pro-active, sustainable design techniques to your immediate environment - whether you live in an inner city apartment, a quarter-acre block, or a rural property.
 
Covering organic food production, system design (and re-design) for comfort and lower energy consumption, and ideas on how to approach a sustainable and positive community existence within your neighbourhood.  
 
Come and learn practical strategies to better care and provide for yourself, your family and the planet. A jam-packed weekend of information, techniques, a site visit to a Community Permaculture Garden and great piles of community-sourced food, all within a comfortable walk from public transport.

This course will be taught by Nick Ritar, an award-winning educator of community technologies and strategies for communication, and co-founder of Milkwood Permaculture, providing practical, ecological, do-able solutions for sustainable living and development. All previous editions of this course have sold out quick smart - so come along, and start your process of skilling-up for adaptation in a changing world....

Course dates: Saturday 15th + Sunday 16th November, 2008
Course times: 9am - 5pm each day
Course fee: $150 + GST
Course location: TBA, Newtown area, Sydney.

Getting there: free public transport trip planner website 

Getting there by bus: Catch a 422, 423, 426 or 428 bus from Railway Square at Central, and get off at Newtown Railway Station.

Getting there by train:  Catch the train to Newtown (on the inner west and south lines) from Central Station. 

Getting there by car: Parking in the Newtown area is a bit of a nightmare, and the venue for this course will have no designated parking. May we suggest that you take public transport to this event.

Course fee includes all educational materials, two generous lunches, and all the tea, coffee and snacks you will need while thinking, learning and absorbing this great two day course.
